Marcus Rivchin Jr. grew up in Miami and witnessed many of the city’s significant events in the 1970’s to 1990’s. From the Mariel Refugees to the carnage of Hurricane Andrew and the explosion of crime during the cocaine wars of the 1980’s, Marcus lived and breathed Miami. He went to Miami Dade Community College and earned his A.A. in Business Administration in 1991 and in 1993, he received his B.A. in International Business at FIU. He is a 12 year navy veteran, in which he spent most of his time in special warfare as a SEAL and SWCC (special warfare combatant crew member) operator.
Hard work is nothing new to Marcus as he has logged countless hours on an oil rig in Longbeach, California, did security work for a well known celebrity family in Los Angeles and received a M.A. in International Relations through Alliant International University in San Diego. He currently owns a snack and soda machine business and fully understands the trials and tribulations facing small business owners in today’s highly competitive marketplace.
